Cabot Corporation Increases Prices for Activated Carbon Globally
BOSTON – September 22, 2014 - Effective for all shipments made on or after September 1, 2014, or as customer contracts allow, Cabot Norit Activated Carbon is increasing prices globally on all grades of activated carbon. Average price increases will range from 5 percent to 15 percent, depending on the specific activated carbon product. Due to certain feedstock cost increases and high demand, some activated product groups may deviate from this range.
This increase is required to support Cabot’s continued investment in product and application development, fund new investments in technology and process improvements to support Cabot’s goals related to safety, health and environmental performance and sustainability, and keep pace with increasing costs for raw materials and packaging.
