Cabot Corporation Elects New Officers
BOSTON, March 17, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT) announced today the election of the following individuals as new officers of the Company:
Sean Keohane, general manager of the Performance Product Business Group, joined Cabot in 2002 as Global Marketing Director for Cabot's Carbon Black business. Prior to joining Cabot, Mr. Keohane worked for Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies in a variety of leadership positions. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS degree from Providence College.
Ravijit Paintal, general manager of the Fumed Metal Oxides and Aerogels businesses, joined Cabot's Corporate Planning Group in 2003. Prior to joining Cabot, Mr. Paintal worked for The Boston Consulting Group and Schlumberger Oilfield Services Ltd. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
James Turner, general manager of the Cabot Specialty Fluids (CSF) business, was named to this position in 2003. He began working at Cabot in 1997 as manager of CSF's European operations. Mr. Turner has more than 20 years of experience in the oil drilling industry and prior to joining Cabot held engineering and senior management positions with International Drilling Fluids, Schlumberger Oilfield Services, and Baroid Drilling Fluids. He holds a Masters and post graduate degrees from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
