Cabot Corporation Increases Prices for Specialty Carbons Globally

June 30, 2016

BOSTON – Effective August 1, 2016, or as contracts allow, Cabot Corporation will  increase prices, up to 6 percent globally, for specialty carbon products. These  adjustments will be implemented independent of raw material adjustments. This  price increase is required due to escalating operating costs, as well as  environmental compliance costs associated with Cabot's continued investment in necessary  technology controls to comply with enhanced environmental regulations at its  specialty carbons manufacturing facilities.

The increase is necessary to ensure Cabot  remains a reliable, long-term supplier of high quality products and services,  and ensures continued investment in new products and applications development  to support customers.
