Cabot Corporation Increases Prices for SpectrAl® Fumed Alumina Products Globally
BOSTON – Cabot Corporation (NYSE: CBT), a global specialty chemicals and performance materials company, will raise prices worldwide for its SpectrAl® fumed alumina products. Prices will be increased up to 40 percent, depending on the product grade. This change will be effective for all shipments made on or after May 2, 2014, or as customer contracts allow.
This price increase is necessary due to the increasingly high costs required to operate the business. This adjustment will allow Cabot to continue to provide our customers with a reliable supply of high-quality products.
