Comprised of our CEO, CFO and the individuals responsible for our segments, regions and select functions, this team is responsible for the management of the company as a whole.
Our management executive committee sets our strategic direction and implements strategies both to maximize long-term shareholder value and achieve shorter-term objectives, defines priorities, establishes corporate-wide policy and manages governance and enterprise-level decisions. The individual members of the Management Executive Committee are responsible for the management and operations of our businesses, functions and regional operations.
Sean Keohane is president and chief executive officer of Cabot Corporation and a member of the Board of Directors. Since joining Cabot in 2002, Sean has held numerous key management positions including president of the Reinforcement Materials segment, president of the Performance Chemicals segment and president of the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Cabot, Sean worked for Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies, in a variety of general management positions. Sean earned his MBA from Harvard University and a BS in Finance from Providence College. Sean also serves on the Board of Directors of The Chemours Company (NYSE: CC) the American Chemistry Council. He is also a member of The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) Advisory Board and a Trustee of Dexter Southfield School and the Boston Latin School Association.
Jaume Campaña is Senior Vice President and President, EMEA Region and EMEA Regional Business Director, Reinforcement Materials segment. In his role as President of the EMEA region, Jaume oversees governance and compliance and supports the development of employees and teams throughout the region. He joined Cabot in 1997 as Commercial Director for the Special Blacks business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Throughout his tenure, he has held key leadership roles across businesses and segments including Vice President and EMEA Regional Business Director for the Performance Chemicals segment and Vice President and EMEA Regional Business Director for the Reinforcement Materials segment, which he currently holds in conjunction with his role of President of the EMEA region. Prior to Cabot, Jaume held various marketing and sales positions within the pigments business unit at Hoechst Corporation in Germany. Jaume earned a BA in Industrie Kaufmann from Hoechst AG in Frankfurt, Germany and completed the Program for Management Development (PMD) at ESADE Business School.
Jennifer Chittick is Senior Vice President, Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) and Chief Sustainability Officer. In these roles, she is responsible for leading the overall development and implementation of comprehensive SH&E programs as well as the company’s sustainability strategy and reporting. Since joining Cabot in 2012, Jennifer has held a variety of roles within the SH&E organization, most recently as Vice President, SH&E. Prior to that, she was Product Safety and Toxicology Director as well as held several SH&E positions in North America. Before joining Cabot, Jennifer worked for BAE Systems. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and serves as Director of the International Carbon Black Association (ICBA). She earned a MS in Environmental Health from Tufts University and a BS in Industrial Hygiene from Clarkson University.
Patricia Hubbard joined Cabot in 2018. Prior to joining Cabot, Patricia worked for Avery Dennison as vice president of R&D for the Label and Graphic Materials division in North America. Prior to Avery Dennison, she worked for PolyOne Corporation and General Electric. Throughout her career, she has garnered extensive knowledge of materials science and formulated solutions that have driven new product development and technology innovation. Patricia is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and earned her PhD in polymer science from the University of Akron and a BS in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Hexcel Corporation.
Aaron Johnson is Senior Vice President, Global Business Services, Global Engineering and Inkjet. In this role he has oversight of the company’s global shared services, supply chain, procurement, and global engineering functions as well as the inkjet product line. Aaron joined Cabot in 2005 and has held a variety of leadership positions, most recently as Senior Vice President for the former Formulated Solutions segment. Prior to that he served as Senior Vice President of Cabot's former Purification Solutions segment. He was also Vice President and General Manager of Cabot’s specialty carbons business. He previously held roles in business management and business development in the EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Americas regions. Before joining Cabot, Aaron worked for The Boston Consulting Group. He earned his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and a BS in Geology from Bates College. He is a member of the Board of the Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair (MSEF).
Karen Kalita joined Cabot in 2008, and has since held several key positions in the law department, including chief legal counsel to our Reinforcement Materials segment and previous Purification Solutions segment and senior legal counsel to our previous Advanced Technologies segment. Before joining Cabot, Karen was a corporate attorney at WilmerHale LLP in Boston, a global law firm. Karen earned her JD degree from Harvard Law School and a BA from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the Board of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable.
Bart Kalkstein joined Cabot in 2005. Since joining the company, Bart has held several key management positions within the company, most recently as vice president of corporate strategy and development. He was also vice president of global business operations and general manager of global emission control solutions for the former Purification Solutions segment, vice president of business operations and executive director of marketing and business strategy for the Performance Chemicals segment, and general manager of the aerogel business. Prior to joining Cabot, Bart worked for Boston Consulting Group. Bart earned his MBA from Harvard University and a BSE in Civil Engineering and Operations Research at Princeton University.
Erica McLaughlin joined Cabot in 2002 and has held a variety of roles within the finance organization and Cabot’s global businesses, most recently as vice president of business operations for the Reinforcement Materials segment and general manager of the tire business. Since joining the company, she has held a number of senior leadership positions including vice president of investor relations and corporate communications, as well as global director of strategy, planning and finance for Cabot’s core segment. Prior to joining Cabot, Erica worked for KPMG, LLP in their audit services division. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Azenta Life Sciences (Nasdaq: AZTA) and the Advisory Board of FM Global.
Martin O'Neill is Senior Vice President Government Affairs. In this role, he is responsible for Cabot’s public policy and advocacy as well as government affairs. Since joining Cabot in 2000, Martin has held several key positions including Senior Vice President, Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E), Chief Sustainability Officer, Director of SH&E for the former Cabot supermetals business, Plant General Manager for the company's tantalum manufacturing operations in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, USA and General Manager of the TANCO mining operation in Manitoba, Canada. Prior to joining Cabot, Martin was Director of SH&E for North and South America with AMP Incorporated/Tyco Electronics and worked in consulting for 15 years. Martin earned his MS in Environmental Science from Drexel University and a BA in Ecology from Rutgers College. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Boston Harbor Now and is a member of the Advisory Board for HomeStart, Inc.
Art Wood joined Cabot in 2017. Prior to joining Cabot, Art worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific as group vice president of Human Resources, Specialty Diagnostics Group. During his tenure at Thermo Fisher Scientific he held several senior human resources (HR) leadership roles of increasing responsibility, overseeing large teams of HR professionals globally. In addition to Thermo Fisher Scientific, Art has garnered experience building and leading strategic HR organizations at large, multinational corporations including Progress Software and Sun Microsystems. Art earned his MBA from the University of Colorado Denver and his BA from the University of Maryland.
Jeff Zhu is Executive Vice President and President, Carbon & Silica Technologies, Battery Materials and Asia Pacific Region. In his role, Jeff has executive oversight for the battery materials product line as well as Carbon & Silica Technologies, which includes the specialty carbons, specialty compounds, fumed metal oxides and aerogel product lines. Prior to joining Cabot, he spent 18 years with Rhodia (and its predecessor Rhone-Poulenc) where he served in a variety of regional and global business leadership roles, including Asia Pacific Regional Commercial Director, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Novecare, and Vice president and Global Director of electronics and catalysis. He served as the chairman and a Board Director of the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM). Jeff's most recent experience before joining Cabot was with Asia Pacific Resources International Holding Limited (APRIL), a multi-billion USD privately owned global paper and pulp company, where he served as head of global sales. Jeff earned his M.Sc in Chemistry from National University of Singapore and a distinction MBA from the University of Hull, UK.
